AEE Magicam first look
5 June 2013

We were in Korea last week working at an event and took one of our new AEE Magicams that we got from Digital Logistics to have a play with.

Although we never got the opportunity to shoot much video with it we did manage to shoot a few stills.

For a Mini-HD camera the image quality was fantastic - very impressive.

We're looking forward to using it on a few video projects we have got coming up. Here's a few shots from Korea.

AEE Sportscam video: Mark Orams 2013 Paper Tiger Nationals - Race view
14 May 2013

These waterproof cameras have several different brackets to mount them almost anywhere on your boat to capture all the crew and boat action for training purposes or as a great record of the race or regatta.

A remote control to control the video and take photos is great to record what and when you want without having to touch it. Centring up the camera shot is made easier when setting up with the added advantage of the laser pointer along with other features which can be seen on the Sportscam website.

The advantages of capturing sailing video for training purposes is best summed up by Mark Orams:

'Onboard video footage provides a valuable source of information for performance analysis, particularly for the many sailors who do not have the benefit of an independent coach."

AEE Sportscam: Experience the action aboard 18ft skiff Yamaha - 2
6 March 2013

Ever wanted a taste of 18ft skiff sailing without getting wet?

Join the crew of Yamaha 2 as they put the 18ft skiff though its paces on Waitemata harbour - all captured on a series of AEE Magicams. There's headcams, boom cams, bow cams, and rack cams - all set up on board in just a few minutes.

AEE Magicams are the latest cam corder on the market - now available in New Zealand at much lower pricing than other models, and with a complete range of accessories to enable you to clamp a camera onto your boat, bike or board - and capture all the action.

These are a very effective coaching tool, for practice and review, both with an on the water coach, and a coach who may be thousands of miles away, but can put their finger on the issue you have never been able to quite get right.
